how do i find the constant of variation in the 4 types of variations?

namely direct, inverse ,joint and combined

and what are the equations of these four types of variation?

    If x is the argument (indep var) and y, z are variables that depend on x, then:

    Direct: k = y/x

    Inverse: k = xy

    Joint: I'm assuming you mean that y AND z vary directly as x, or xk = yz, then, k = yz/x

    Combined: (is that direct to y and inverse to z?) If it is, then:

    xk = (y/z), and so, k = (xy/z)
