1.) to pick up an application

2.) to the Job interview if there is one.

Thanks!

Update:

What should questions should i be ready to answer? I'm a very outgoing person but just a little nervous when it comes to a 1st real job. Plus my mom wont be there so i have to know all the answers without referring to my mom.

You should dress professionally. Wear a good looking suit for females, it shows that you are taking the job offer seriously. It also shows professional character which is what employers look for. To pick up your application you don't need to be as well dressed as your interview. Just don't wear something that will make you look like a slacker!

During your interview you need to walk in with a lot of determination and confidence. Show that you want this job, be firm, and show complete control over your emotions. Do not get nervous because you will probably start to shake.

The best way to prepare for this is to practice going to boards or interviews with people who you are not too familiar with. It will help you get rid of your nervousness and will make your nerves a lot calmer, like steel!!

At the end of your interview make sure you give the person a firm handshake. Handshakes give the employer a very important signal, so make it a good signal.

    Good luck

I would go in or somehow see what the people are wearing there first. I would then try to match their level of attire whether it is formal or informal, pockets or no pockets on shirts etc... Then go and get an outfit that matches the colors (if there are routine colors they wear like all brown pants or blue shirts...) match up as best as possible and the employer will be more likely to be able to picture you working for her/him. Default colors are beige. Don't wear a business suit or over dress more formally then the hiring manager - it may seem insulting. Just feel comfortable and be ready to get your application, fill it out, and take a tour on what the job is about. Be prepared to stay and speak to everyone - only asking questions and not talking a lot. Just finding a good personality that everyone can feel heard around is the most important employee trait.

questions: what are your hobbies? What can you "bring" to this workplace? (meaning how you would benefit the company by working there). What hours can you work.. are you able to work weekends... are you flexible with your schedule... can you come in on your days off if someone calls in sick... have you had any experience with this type of work in your life... how familiar are you with our company... do you know what we do... what are your goals and how would this job work for you and your long term goals... what experience do you plan to gain... how do you handle conflict... are you able to keep many busy children interested in activities... how would you describe your reaction to a conflict between two children (they might have a scenario about what may happen or what has been in the past)...

They will need to ask a few questions about conflict management, your own patience, and they are only trying to feel comfortable with placing you in a position to responsibly handle children. If you ever babysat a large family, 3 or 4 kids you may just know what you are in for. :)) Good luck, you can do this!

    Dressing Right for The Interview

"Although proper dressing by itself will not get you the job, a poor dress sense may exclude you from further consideration," warns Gerry Ditching, managing partner of Filgifts.com. Besides, given two equally good applicants, the company may choose to hire the person who is dressed more professionally. Here are some tips to give you a headstart.

    FOR MEN:

Long-sleeved shirt and dark slacks. White is still the safest and the best color for shirts. The colour is also appropriate for our tropical weather. Also acceptable: pale shades such as beige, blue, and other pastels.

Tuck in the shirt and do not roll up the sleeves. Never wear a short-sleeved shirt to an interview or any business purpose. Wearing a short-sleeved shirt will destroy your executive image.

Ties. Optional. But if you do wear one, choose a conservative....

    FOR WOMEN:

Three-piece business suits, blouse and skirt or slacks, and cardigan twin-sets. Sleeveless shirts should be rejected. Short-sleeved blouses are okay when they are tailor-cut or have features such as a sports collar or double breast design to create a business-like look. Skirts can either be long provided it does not create a Cinderella or barn-dance look or short where it falls no shorter than two inches from the knee. Nothing too revealing, please!

Panty-hose or stockings. A must for professional grooming, but nothing with overly fussy patterns. Bring an extra pair, just in case the ones you are wearing run.

    Shoes. Closed shoes or pumps......

never wear any long dress or skirt because of my elevation, it makes you look shorter and fatter.

Camp Cousellors? Have you ever heard to saying "As gay as a row of circus tents?" .. I think this saying lead to the use of the expression "camp" in reference to one's homosexual tendencies, at least in this country. It's an old saying, for sure.. haven't heard it used commonly for 30 years... before that, a gay guy was called "cat".. that is after the sixties.. when everyone was a cat... now of course, my kids call someone gay.. but it isnt a reference to sexuality... the meaning of the word "gay" has changed in this new generation. So, Jesus Camp Counsellors... sounds like a lot of fun, at least to me.

to pick up the application : i would where maybe casual pants such as off white, black or brown (NO JEANS!!!) and a casual top.

for the interview : the same as picking up the application the same but dont go overboard it shows desperation.

***be sure to have all nessicary papers such as, birth certificate ect.

    hope this helps !
