1996 ford taurus hard to start and keep running at times.?

At times it is hard to start, just turns over but wont fire up. When it does start have to keep gas on or it will die. Then will go a couple weeks with no problems, just happens at random times. i changed the plugs, wires, and fuel filter. Thinking it is the fuel pump going out, any help would be great!!

seen it before-if vehicle has been rear-ended, you could have a collapsed fuel tank you could have a collapsed fuel line, try adding

some "dry gas" check ignition timing, etc. good luck

Is the check engine light on? If so, read codes and go from there. Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge and verify pressure is within spec.

actual the CCRM could be opened and it particularly is not too difficult to alter the relays in it. you have just to drill out the rivets from the corners and while you're handy with the soldering methods you may decide what to do. attempt it, what ya have been given to lose. ewwww, be sure you unplug it from the harness until eventually now doing this.
