    Here's how you do it:

    The $25 is initial, meaning that you HAVE to pay for it no matter what. Then it says that there's 12 equal monthly payments. This means that in addition to the $25, you have to pay an equal amount of money, n, for each of the 12 months. This all adds up to $335. So...

    $25 + 12n = $335

    Then simplify.

    12n = $310

    n=$25.83

    The answer is: $25.83 for every month. :)

    12n + 25 = 335

    12n is the total of the monthly payments, n is the amount of each, 25 is the other part of the total cost (membership fee), 335 is the total cost.

    12n = 335 - 25

    12n = 310

    n = 310/12 = 25.83 (repeating 3)

    $25.83

    Total annual cost is equal to $335. This cost includes a $25 dollar fee plus 12 monthly payments. Let n equal the amount of monthly payments and your equation looks like this: 335 = 25 + 12n Solving for n would give you - (335 -25)/12 = n

    its like this the fee is $335 so you take a way - 25 from that and divide the answer by 12

    335-25= 310 divided by 12 =25.8 or 26

    the monthly payment is 25.8 or 26

    335+25=n(full cost) divided by 12

    =30 dollars a month

  • 1 decade ago

    335 = 12n - 25

  • 1 decade ago

    335=12n+25

    subtract 25 from 335

    310=12n

    divide 310 by 12

    n= approx. $25.83

    it's not confusing at all!

    $25 (the amount needed to pay regardless) + 12n (n being the amount payed per month and 12 is for a whole year) = 335

    12n = 310

    n= 25.83

    25.83 per month

    equation: 12n+25=335.

    Worked-out:

    12n+25=335

    Subtract 25 from both sides.

    12n=310

    Divide both sides by 12

    n=25.83
