Of course he will not be in Rikers. He WILL get special treatment. For 1 he is old. 2 You don't do what he did without having some big time connections. He will be in club fed in relative comfort.
Oddly enough I was talking to someone who'd done a little time in Club Fed and he says that it is slowly lowering to level of the state pen system

You only go to Rikers for state-level charges. Madoff pled to federal charges, so he will go to federal prison. Right now he's in the Metropolitan Correctional Center, the federal jail downtown.

I don't know...look at that Martha Stewart. She lived better in jail than most of us do on the outside. LOL
