My macbook screen goes dark when opened too far?

Half the time when I use my macbook, I open it and if i open it too far, such as past a 45 degree angle from the table, the screen goes dark. I can barely see the screen when I'm in a lit room, but it is extremely hard to see anything. Anything I can do about this? I've had no other problems with the macbook.

Sounds like the connection is bad between the screen and the body. The reason it's going dark (just a guess) is that your disconnecting the power connection for the illumination of the display while the image is still getting through - It's a ribbon style connector with many tiny wires in it. I'm guessing that one end is worn (the part providing the voltage to light up the florescent display)

The only thing you can do is to have a professional repair it such as the Apple Store or an Apple certified retailer.

take it to the apple store, they are really good with customer service.. if not, just make a scene and they will replace it immediately... my friend spilt water all over his own (they specifically tell you that the warranty does not cover liquid damage) but he went in there and made a scene, convinced them that he had a warranty ( he did not! it was finished) and that they needed to replace it..... they did, and he has a brand new macbook
