you need to insert your MSOFFICE CD in to your CROM then let MSOFFICE to find the missing files

1) Look to see if you can find the shortcuts in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office.
2) Or the programs in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11 (note, the number may be different based on which version of office you have. 11 is for 2003).
If they are installed then you can recreate the shortcuts:
excel = excel.exe
word=winword.exe,
etc.
3) You could also go to add/remove programs and select office from there. I beleive it has a repair option which may fix this for you.

If you don't have the Office CD, and it sounds like you don't, you are out of luck unless you buy it again. If you do have the CD, uninstall what you have, restart your computer and install it again. If neither of these recommendations helps, then get OpenOffice, a free office product that contains everything MSOffice has and is compatible with everything in MSOffice.

Try using "Open Office".
It's an open source, (Free), office suite very similar to MS Office. Just as good, if not better, and can read all your current files. --It was written by a large software company and after the project was canceled, the management decided to release it for free. After that, people decided to keep it up to date. It's a very good piece of software, and because it is distinct from MS Office, you can install it and expect it to be totally unaffected by the problems you are currently experiencing.
Cheers!
