Cowboys trading up? How about this?

Will the Cowboys trade up into the first round of the NFL Draft?

I think they should trade up to the 15th pick and draft Jeremy Maclin or Percy Harvin...

Of course they are gonna have to give up a big name player (like Marion Barber) buti think it is worth it.

Update:

They did fine with Tashard Choice alone..

but they also have Felix Jones

Choice and Jones is certainly a nice combo, but can we expect Choice to do as well with split carries? And what if Felix isn't as healthy as we think?

I really like Maclin (over Harvin has well) but Barber is one of the league's best RB's and finishers and he is someone we cannot deal. He is a good teammate and a crucial part of our success.

Trading up is certainly possible, but it will likely be a lesser piece and not as high as 15.

I want to trade up and get Maclin but I realize it is very doubtful.

No no no there are so many talented recievers in the draft.. Maybe they do trade for a spot in the first but I don't think they should trade any big time player to get a rookie wide out.. I think they keep who they got and wait for there turn. They will be able to get some one to play the slot.... Whats wrong with Roy Williams,Patrick Crayton, Austin Miles, and Sam Hurd? Plus you can't forget about Jason Whitten. Why not put Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton on the out side and putting Witten in the slot? They also have other rather talented tight ends that could step up and play some...Curtis for instance... He could be rather good.. I don't think they will have a problem finding Homo I mean Romo some one to throw too lol...

No. The success rate of receivers in the first round is not worth giving up Barber or another player.

For every Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson; there is a David Terrell, David Boston, or Charles Rogers. Those guys were can't-miss receivers, too.

And honestly, the Cowboys receiver situation is not dire. Roy Williams is proven; I don't think people know he had a foot injury last season. Patrick Crayton is dependable and consistent. And let's not forget Miles Austin; a 6'3, 216 pound speedster that seemed to make strides last year.

no even so they still dont have enough to go into the 1st round. They don't really have an interest in wr's. They could go anywhere in the draft. Marion barber will not be traded

If they trade Marion Barber you are giving up a beast of a running back. And all they have is a practicly rookie in Jones. They do need help in the reciver area but williams is really good and there wasnt a reciever drafted in the first round lsat season and they did ok.

  • hell no trading the barbarian would be awful.
