I need to know what is philosophy?
I have this homework just based in this question,we have to make our own definition not what a book says...so I read some books and I wrote my definition of philosophy.... I have it all done, but I'd like to hear other's people point of view and self definition of this question... no wikipedia or google nothing.. just from your point of view please...

Philosophy is an analysis of the concepts we take for granted, concepts which our relationships to the world, other people, and ourselves.

Philosophy = Knowledge, Beliefs, Questions, Answers, and Everything in Between.

When philosophy was born there were no books, papers, pencils, lantern or candle. Man asked a question and it all began: "Who am I?"
He realized he was mortal and started to search for a meaning in living and everything else around him. What is my purpose and what is the purpose of that? Who am I, and what is that?
Philosophy simply means analyzing subject matters based on profound contemplation, observation, and realization.

Philosophy means the "Love of Wisdom" or the "Love of Knowledge."
