Negative tests, 3 weeks late.. am I pregnant?
So, basically I am 3 weeks late. I went to the doc after 4 negative HPT and results were still negative when tested by the doc. Doc says come back if you haven't had your period in 2 weeks. I've NEVER missed a period and I ALWAYS have the worst cramps and bloating before my period. Now I just feel fat and bloated, achy especially in my lower back like crazy.. nausea, some diarrhea but mostly constipation and just blahhhhhhh.. I keep telling myself I'm not prego and I've tried every way in the world to relax and still no period. Baby's daddy told me way before I was late that I was pregnant and it wasn't until I realized how late I was that I started to think I was with my symptoms. Even my mom has said something to me before she even knew I was late.. that wierds me out! What should I do? My last test was last week at the doc.. Our method of "birth control" was withdrawling so we all know how well that doesn't work..
Also, I'm 22 - he's 23.. we weren't TTC but if it happens, it happens. I won't be getting an abortion and I really don't want any judgementaly comments about my lifestyle and whatever because that is so discouraging to anyone who is trying to get a simply question asked.. but other than that thanks so much for your help!

that's how i felt when i was first pregnant, but my test didn't tell me till a month or so later, i did even get sick till my 2nd month, so if you've missed for 3 weeks, i'm sure you are sweetie, just give the test and your body time to tell you, gotta wait till those right juices come out in your pee to tell you =) =) Good luck and congrats!
Source(s): if the test is still neg and you know you are, go to the doctor and tell them you want an ultra sound to see and make sure. - 5 years ago
I understand what you are going through. I am going to be a week late in a few days. My periods are very regular, but I'm late. From what I have read this is what I can tell you. Every person is different. Some urine tests won't show up positive for people for several weeks others will get a positive before their missed period. Best of luck to you. Hope everything works out for you. Best thing to do is go to the doctor and take a blood test. Your other choice is to just wait it out. I know that is hard. There are others out there going through the same thing.

The most important thing to remember is that everyone's body is different. You may very well be pregnant, but you also may not. Just because your period has not come does not mean that you are pregnant. If you are stressed, it can have an effect on your period.
Even because the test keep coming out negative also does not mean that you are pregnant. My aunt actually went to the doctor and her test by her doctor came back negative. However, a few days later she took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive. Sometimes people just get different readings.
Whatever may happen, please remember that the withdrawal method is the worse method possible for contraception. I am not trying to be mean, but you can even get pregnant from leftover semen in pre-ejaculation. Thus, the withdrawal method would because pregnancy would already be underway.

I think that if you got tested by a DR and it was still negative, maybe you really are not pregnant...with that said, I would try to live as if you are pregnant, just in case. Just until you find out what is going on.
A lot of women miss periods due to stress, changes in lifestyle, weight loss or gain. keep on your DR until you know whats going on though!! Good luck :)

Just because you have never missed a period doesn't mean it will never happen. Stress is a common reason to miss a period.
If you don't plan on having a baby, why not just use protection?
