Is it just me or does anyone else feel he same?
Is it just me or is anyone else amazed at the lack of information people have about STD's. The questions that are posted here amaze me. Am I the only one who thinks this? There is something really wrong with our education system if after 20 years people have no idea how to prevent std's or what causes them.

Yes, it amazes me, but then again, at one point we all had questions. What I find really disturbing is people who are sexually active and still have no clue or someone who swears up and down both them and their partner are faithful, yet a STD magically appeared. Like, are you serious???

Yes! I know this is a touchy subject for a lot of people, but most middle/high schools don't teach kids about birth control! Many parents don't talk to thier kids about it either, so they only way they learn is by trial and error. In my opinion, many of the problems with STD's could be avoided if EVERYONE was educated on safe sex.

I agree. I know people who are trying to stay HIV NEG and then get into a relationship with someone who is HIV POZ and they stop doing safer sex and using any/all latex barriers.
