In America International, it's 22x14x9 inches for maximum carry on size dimensions.

Restrictions vary from airline-to-airline as to the precise size of luggage allowed, but a good guideline is to look for a maximum 45 linear inches (linear inches is the length, width, and depth of your bag added together) The airplane's overhead lockers were designed for 45" bags, so passengers trying to stow 52" bags often have trouble, causing them and Flight Attendants problems and slowing boarding.
