Do you think it's fair that police arrest others for DUI & DWI when they do it themselves?
To me that's hypocritical, and it goes on here in NJ nonstop! Are they above the law?

No, it's not fair. I agree that it is hypocritical. It goes on not only in NJ but all 50 states and is referred to as " professional courtesy "
No one (should) be above the law.

you are able to desire to stand out in a roundabout way whilst utilising to be pulled over via the police. If the officer smells alcohol interior the motor vehicle, he/she will assume which you have been eating. while taking the tests to evaluate while you're decrease than the impression, you are able to desire to fail basically sufficient to be arrested for DUI/DWI. they desire to get a conviction as much as for the guy that robbed a community gasoline station. reckoning on jurisdiction, they provides you with a Breathalyzer precise there on the scene or take you to the police station (if no longer on sight) or wellness midsection (in case you request a blood try). Refusing a try in maximum states is automated DUI/DWI. To be secure, in case you will drink, do notcontinual.

I was in the US Army at Fort Sill, and the MPs were flat out criminals. They had a barracks next to mine. They were always partying and driving drunk. An MP was breaking into rooms in my barracks while we were out doing PT in the morning. There were times when they would smoke pot in there barracks. They were always causing trouble and fighting. They always left out massive garbage in the common are in between our two barracks. I respect the job they do, but I avoid them at all if possible, and dont talk to them unless I have to because of the way that they act. The kind of arrogance they possess is just horrible. Im not a criminal so I wont let them speak to me like im a piece of trash and they have all the power over me because they dont. Then I found out a guy I knew in highschool was now an MP and I was appalled. He was the biggest troublemaker/criminal/cocaine salesman at our school, and now he was a lawman. Oh yeah, and some MPs were stealing cars too. There not better than anybody evenb though they think that they are.

Cops dont even let other cops out of dwi's anymore. The same goes for domestic violence. a little professional courtesy over little stuff, but being that stupid will get you arrested. its never a pleasant thing to collar another cop for dwi...but, they, even more than everyone else, should know the dangers of drinking and driving.

They are not above the law. Anyone, regardless of their law enforcement affiliation should be arrested for a DUI/DWI. Someone should report these "officers" to their superiors or even internal affairs.

No.
Drunk driving is NEVER FAIR.
No matter who is doing the driving. I know police officers that drive drunk because 'they can', because they are not going to be arrested by their buddies. This is bad. But what is worse is when they are small town police officers and pull over their FRIENDS who are drunk and let them go. (that is not legal, nor is it even being a good friend).
I respect PO's but that kind of illogical garbage has got to be addressed and stop!

I live in Los Angeles and vice took down the local cop bar. Needless to say it's not a cop bar anymore. They love busting other cops.

I know plenty of cops who threw their careers away because they drove drunk.
We arrested one last night.
