I have a cable splittler on my cable to go to another tv in another room. All of a sudden the other room tv?

is getting a terrible signal. Some channels look good, but most look fuzzy or worse. Could the splitter be bad? or ??? Any help is appreciated.

Update:

oops, misspelled splitter...

You need a drop amplifier on your cable system to maintain or increase signal quality. Google "drop amplifier" for more information. The same thing happened to my cable system when I had too many splitters, etc. If you use a drop amp, you need to put cable terminators on all unused cable outlets. The best drop amps I found on the internet was the electroline drop amps, which can be purchased on ebay at a good price. Also consider buying a drop amp with active return.

    Good luck,

You could always try a broadband tv provider, or run the cable along the ceiling... the walls in an apartment may be tricky

You might've stepped on the cable and messed it up. Or it was just low-quality to begin with. Also, try wiggling around the cable in the sockets on both ends - bad contacts can make a slight change in angle make all the difference in the world!
