Where is the worst racial discrimination outside the United States?

As a person who has lived around the world, I think the United States is actually open to other races. Other countries, mainly to old policies and lack of exposure, do not accept dark skinned people. What do you think?

Anywhere in Asia. The locals run and hide when they see black people. I've seen it when my friends from America visit my house. They swear they will never come back to the continent.

Obviously something has raised this issue with you, but I'd say that whomever is placing blame on certain races should maybe be avoided. That type of old-school bigotry will only bring you down. Those of us with any brains understand that there are bad people and there are good people. Color has nothing to do with it. (Trash comes in all colors, just look in your garbage can). I think that to be a stronger country, (or world ... whatever), we need to realize that we are brothers and sisters beneath a single flag, (or of a single planet, if you will), and stop bickering over what race is better, smarter, more capable, more evil, yada-yada. I don't know where you're running into all of this racist hatred, but here in the U.S. we're starting to understand that race isn't the issue ... actions are what define the individual. After all, a person is how they act - not how they look. All the best, WDL

I actually think the opposite. I think the United States still racially discriminates people, as an Asian I still feel that way. I've been to Europe before and most of them are very open and nice. They accept our culture and who we are. Where if i'm here in U.S., I've always get rude comments from people about my eyes, my features, and I can see people's negative attitude towards me. People here don't really appreciate other races, and still consider a white supremest country. If you live in the Southern part of the U.S., you can see why racial discrimination is still an issue.

South Africa was once considered the most racist nation ever with its apartheid. However, every person is racist deep down. This is for all races. We each want to be seen as the best and think that every one else is below us. Think about emergency situations. It is usually our own race that we look to to save or help and this is really sad, but often so true.

I believe how the Kurdish people are treated in Iraq and Turkey is horrendous. They are suppressed from their culture, language, beliefs and abused and ostracized in these societies. They are killed and arrested just for being "Kurdish".

    India.

It's worse than the South ever was since they've been at it for at least 1000 years and it's embedded into their religion. Even Hitler got his "Aryan" ideas from them.
