How can one not believe Hell exists, but believe the Nephilim did exist?
Nephilim were a race of giant demons who supposedly corrupted humanity beofre the great flood. There are certain religions that think the great flood was sent to destroy these things. Can someone try and make sense of that for me?
Jehova's witnesses believe this...and don't believe in Hell.
I never said I believed in Hell....but...Neverland doesn't exist!?!*sracasm* There goes my illusions of pixies with sexy legs greeting me in my room at night.
Thanks, Reba, you're one of two people who actually understood the question, and the only one who answered it so far.
One fellow missed the boat. If there is no Hell, they would cease to be if they were destroyed....please reread the question.
Sheol is Oblivion. The Hebrew state of Nothing. Literally translated into English, it's just referred to as "the Grave". Hades, Pluto, or Dis, is the Greco-Roman God of the Underworld, who also happens to have his place named for him...much more complex than hell. And then there's Gehenna, which is similar to Sheol, with a name that is for a garbage dump outside of Jerusalem during Roman times....
Actually, I got the garbage dump right, but wrong time about Gehenna....

Hell is a very limited idea, an actual PLACE you go only if you are DEAD and BAD or EVIL. Evil and the sources of evil are much more dynamic and creative, it isn't surprising to me that someone could believe in evil and daemons and not believe in Hell.

Why don't people tell what they mean by hell?
Acts 2:27-35, hell or pit, sepulchre or cave, tomb or grave, a dark
abode for the dead. Pharisee's whitewashed graves with dead
bones inside, while the imaginations of their minds have them in
Abraham's bosom and people like Lazarus being the living dead,
but Jesus put the rich [ religion leaders ], there as a way to tell
them, the law and the prophets did not teach any such thing at,
Luke 16:14-31 where Jesus read their thoughts, Gen.13:2, and
Abraham was a rich man, not a rich religion leader to neglect a
Lazarus as by Abraham all are blessed, Gal..3:16-26;
Tartarus prison hell, Jude 6; 2Pet.2:4,
Gehena, Tophet or Valley of the son of Hinnom or Jerusalems
city dump from 628 BCE when Josiah put a stop to Jer.7:30,31,
19:1-5, a long time practice of death and burial by fire, 2Chr.28:1-4.
At Jesus coming, Matt.31:34; 2Tim.3:1-7 [ goats ], Matt.25:41,
the fire is everlasting, the gone is everlasting and after the 1000
year reign of Jesus for Satan, Rev.20:1-3, 7-10, no Satan 1000
years, then no Satan ever or any like him, the gone is forever.
Rev.21:8, second death.

Yes....The Nephilim are beings mentioned twice in the Bible; in Genesis 6:4 and Numbers 13:33. Many believe those are the spirits people mistake as aliens and ghosts as they are still earthbound.

And who do you think is corrupting humanity today? Neither were they giants nor demons in the sense of physic, but by compromising with their own evil ideas, it is what brought them to perpetrate a macabre plan to attain "in the faith of many" the acceptance of control by them as Men of fame. Nephilim is not the existence of a demon race but the birth of evil ideas in the minds of a few, transferred through generations until today to keep them being men of fame.
As vipers, they crawl, and sneak in, and corrupt, and divide, mix, and subdue. It was no god nor angel who said "Let us make man into our image" but men, men who are in control of every kind of form of communication and resources to influence your mind. They started with their own sheep and went on to the other one's.
One could never deny the possibility that another alien race might have mixed with us, but to think that would be a reason for evil would be rare. One funny thing is that most people are presented with funny looking aliens, but they could just look like one of us. Who knows.
