Pot roast using onion soup mix?
I was wondering for those of you who had used this method does it give a strong onion taste? I will be cooking the roast in the oven not a crock pot. TY.

I have done this. The roast itself does not taste strongly of onion, but if you make gravy it really does.

The meat will be wonderful, but the juices will be strong and salty. If you want to make gravy out of the soup, water it down a bit. Taste it and add a little water until you are happy.

I COOK MY ROAST WITH ONION SOUPMIX IT GOOD.
