Serious Question: Why is my dog hyper, panting and sometimes yawning when my boyfriend and i ..u know..?

My FIXED female dog, becomes very hyperactive when my boyfriend and I have our alone time. We lock her out of the room, she will sit right by the door panting and yawning (Which she does sometimes when excited when outside playing). Its really irritating. Im trying to train her to go lay down on the couch or her bed, but its becoming hard to do.

Just curious why does she do this?

Afterwards, whether my boyfriend is dressed or not, she will keep going for his area wanting to sniff it and etc. She wont even listen to the normal commands that stop her from jumping up and scratching us.

Help?

Update:

I find it odd mainly because she's been fixed since she was allowed to be!

Dogs do some strange things. Scent is something they pick up on and sometimes respond to. I wouldn't spray anything near the dog, but maybe in your room to deter her.

My husband and I had a problem with our dog every time we had sex.

I used to let the dog sleep on the bed with us, and as soon as my husband when get on top, the dog would get on his leg, dig her claws into him and hump his leg. It was like she knew what we were doing and was joining in. I can't tell you how hard we laughed. It was certainly something to see. I ended up getting her a bed and that solved our problem. But dogs do some pretty funny things at times.

I just read something on YA about this this past week and someone did a study of this and the answer was yes, certain dogs did yawn after watching a human yawn in front of them. I wanted to try it with my dog but haven't done so yet.

Panting and yawning are things dogs do when they are confused and a bit nervous. She may think your boy friend is hurting you or going to hurt you in some way.

I say light a candle or give her a bone outside the room...distract her/.

Try spraying some of your perfume or some febreeze under the door when you close it. It will disorient, but not hurt, her while you bump uglies lol jk

Scent is the dogs primary sense, perhaps you've noticed that you are generating significant scent signals.

  • Because she is trying to get you to stop committing fornication. She knows she is bugging you and hopes that will make you stop.
