anyone know what causes watery diarrhoea, bright red bleeding every bowel movement, lower?

left abdo pain and bloating? just wondered if anyone has any experience. my daughter 20 is suffering these symptoms and getting worse, awaiting urgent colonoscopy, digestive diseases like crohns (her sister has), coeliac have been ruled out also haemorroids which wouldnt cause the additional symptoms anyway. Colonoscopy will be within couple of days but im very worried just wondered if anyone had similar experience. thanks for yr sensible answers.

Update:

ibs has been ruled out the bloating etc would maybe suggest that but i dont think u get bleeding with ibs. we have seen the doctor several times last few weeks just waiting for the colonoscopy, urgent to the hospital is unfortunately not what we see as urgent, even the gp has said it was urgent, anyway i am getting the gp to refer us to the hospital today just trying to avoid 4 hr wait in a&e but if we cant see what it takes we will just to go a&e and wait it out as it needs to be seen to. Something is wrong somewhere with the system as this is not an a&e case it should have been dealt with already, hopefuly like someone said its an infection nothing serious but the blood tests shows no sign of infection or inflammation.

Update 2:

thanks for the reassurance about the fresh blood not being cancer, the gp said same tho they have been known to be wrong before i have personal experience of that but the symptoms are strange. the bloating only started at weekend. she is very thin size 6 despite healthy appetite, bleeding has been for few weeks getting worse, originally booked for colonoscopy then week ago gp asked for urgent one as bleeding had increased, last 2 days pain and bloating have increased and the diarrhoea has started. she still is eating ok and has not felt or been sick

Could be a nasty infection that has caused a fissure in the bowel (hence the bleeding). Other than that, I have no idea. Sorry I can't be more help. Hang in there, the "not knowing" is the worst part of illness. Once you "know" then you can focus on what to do next.

Just one comment more - fresh red blood is not normally associated with colon cancer.

If there was A LOT OF BLOOD then get to the ER now... But alot of blood is relative. When I say ALOT i mean over 50 % of the matter was blood.. then that means you may have a tear in your colon area. (Bright red blood is lower colon/anal related.. could be hemorroids, could be caused by ruptured blood vessels as well. But again.. if you see ALOT of blood.. get to the ER.. Upper colon and intestinal bleeding comes out black , from the body being unable to properly digest the blood.. if there is grainy black matter that looks like coffee rounds that could be a sign of acute renal failure or perforated intestine... in either case this is a Medical emergancy as well... and should rectifiy a trip to the ER. Also, if you are passing LOTS of blood and having a fever... or pain in your lower back/abdomen.. get to the ER ASAP. I hope this helps...

She should get her colon cleaned out, and also let the doctors check to see if she has any parasites. And she may want to do it soon, because if it is a parasite it can be deadly.

This must be really frightening for you both. I think you need to be talking to the doctors. Whatever the cause it needs to be seen to asap.
