HOw long does it take for a female to go from 99 degrees to 98 dregrees when whelping? What is the range in '?

Update:

also what is the range, in days of a dog's pregnancy?

Update 2:

Did I say my dog is pregnant?

Update 3:

Did I say my dog is pregnant?

Update 4:

You know how funny it is that people come here and ask silly questions or get rude answers? I do know that often you can not find your 'mentor' or your Vet is in surgury. So I decided to ask a question just to watch people get high and mightly over dogs and pregnacies. It really was quite humorous. Isn't it time to be a bit kinder and helpful than agressive and pushing your own view points?

Update 5:

And yes I did know the answer to these questions. I did love watching people boil over it though instead of being a friendly kind person.

If you don't know, you shouldn't have an in-tact female.

Gestational periods range from 57-62 days. Dogs can deliver before or after, your vet should have given you a probable birth date. I'm assuming you're at least responsible enough to have her vetted to make sure she could have these puppies and LIVE?

As for the temperature, it could take hours. Depends on the rate of which she's contracting, and preparing her body for birth.

ETA> Yes, you did actually say it was your dog.

"This is her first litter and her temperature is 99.3 how many more days do we have till she whelps?" , "We have been very careful with our Boxers and didnt deside to breed them until they started their shows and were a good conformation. They have had all their tests for Heart murmurs, hep despl. etc.

I only ask because I'm not sure how long t will take to get to 98 degrees from this point and want to be near her while she is whelping."

Failing to lie is so entertaining, please, try again. Hopefully your dog doesn't have "hep despl", wow. What a great breeder! Can't even spell HIP DYSPLASIA!

ETA2> Do you even know what a breeding mentor is? Its a person you hire through your breeding community to guide you through your breeding experience. Its their JOB to be on contact 24-7-365, even for the most trivial of questions like these.

    FAIL x2.

    Yes you did actually

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgoYL...

Secondly why aren't you asking your BREED MENTOR these questions. You know the person you should be asking and not random strangers on YA many of whom have no knowledge about breeding.

And regardless of what her temp is you should be around your female 24/7 the last week of her pregnancy. Again where the heck is your breed mentor. Actually you shouldn't even have to ask this IF you had a breed mentor because you would already know this.

ADD: Even if one can't find their breed mentor they should again know the answer to such a question. And MY views are the views of responsible breeders everywhere. It snot my job or duty to be nice to people who couldn't be bothered to learn how to breed properly. Don't like it? oh well not my concern. Having been told by someone from this very board that I talked them out of it I'll keep things as they are.
