Do you know the last warship sunk during combat?

USS Indianapolis CA-35 was sunk on July 30 1945 by a Japanese submarine. Counting submarines, USS Bullhead was believed to be sunk on August 6 1945 by depth charges dropped by Japanese aircraft.

Last warship sunk in battle, I believe that it was HMS Sheffield, which sunk during the Falklands war in 1982.

Define warship and sunk. The Argentine battle cruiser was sunk with several hundred killed in the Falklands war with Britain. Several smaller ships owned by Israel or Iraq or Iran have been sunk. The American ship attacked by rubber boats was rendered unusable and brought back to the states in a floating dry dock for repair. Was that in combat?
