What will kill red wasps?
I have tried almost every available spray at walmart and my local hardware store. The nest is inside the vents that are under the eve of my house. I have been stung by red wasps before. The area swelled a little and that was all. But there is something odd about these. I got stung last season and my whole hand swelled and the skin on my stomach got bumps all over. It looked like an alien movie where there are things crawling under the persons skin. One stung my husband the day we moved in and he went into anaphylactic shock within 5 min. He too had been stung before with not such a severe reaction. Even tried WD40. It weighs them down and thats it. I have to swat them while they are trying to shake it off their wings, which is hard because there are at least 5 more around. They are enormous too. How can I get rid of these KILLER wasps??

Use brake cleaner or carburetor cleaner, available in the automotive part stores. They are not very expensive and will kill almost any pest instantly.I used them all the time at my house in the country for spiders, wasps, snakes and just about everything.

Your husband is allergic and you had a bad reaction yourself, and as you said you have "KILLER wasps".... because of course you CAN die from these stings. I would not fool around with any home made remedies or sprays I bought at a discount store. What if in the process of getting rid of these things you get multiple stings?!! Call an exterminator and get rid of them once and for all!! There are times you just need to have a professional. Talk to them on the phone and tell them your problem and that you may have to have something done structurally to your house to keep them from coming back. Wasps are a lot like; homing pigeons, they keep returning to the same place. Please take this seriously!

Get yourself some glass jars or glass juice bottles.
Make a mixture of sugar (or honey) and water - more sugar than water - wasps, bees are attracted to sweetness.
Place these jars or bottles everywhere. Once the wasp gets inside he can't get out and eventually dies.
I have these on my balcony and it works.

Carb and choke cleaner...or nitro wash. The first can be found at AutoZone or the like and the second at hobby shops that sell Nitro R/C cars.
Those are two that are guaranteed to kill them. Be careful though, they will make your nose bleed if you don't have enough ventilation.
