Could anyone provide me with proof that anything in science has proved "God's Word".?
I see fundies make this claim over and over.
"God's word is literal -- besides that Scientist are still puzzled why they are finding fossils 500 feet above sea-level !!" - fundie quote
"People, place more faith and trust in other people's observance instead of seekiing answer's for themselves -- Science confirms God's word, so I guess you can say that -- Christian's should enjoy Science !!" - fundie quote
"There are thousands of historical documents saying she was and I have the witness of the Spirit." - fundie quote
"Its obvious and science does nothing but continue to prove the existence of God." - fundie quote
I have yet to see proof. If anyone can show me this proof I would be interested in seeing it.
Thanks for all your answers.

Science is still waiting for God to poke his finger, or his big old Eye through this bubble we call the Universe...
So then we can measure it!

Ok, I am going to play the devil's advocate here for a second (since I am an atheist). :)
Several people of the Bible have been shown to have actually existed. Take King Herod for example. There was an article in a recent National Geographic (within the last year sometime) all about him. It's a really interesting read.
Now, as to the events (as in Jesus, creation, great flood), I think these are just stories that people have created to either explain something they didn't understand (creation, beginning of the world), or to teach others stories (remember parables?).
The actual existence of characters in the Bible may or may not prove the word of God, though. Personally, I think that it just shows that the Bible is, in some ways (and in some sections), a history book that speaks of how life was in those times. Obviously, I'm mostly speaking about the New Testament, and more specifically, PARTS of it. The fact that these characters were actually alive doesn't provide solid evidence of the word of God, though. It just shows that we can't always dismiss what's in the Bible (OUCH, that was actually a little painful to say, being an atheist because you just know there's someone out there waiting to take my words out of context!).

Ron Wyatt has claimed, among other things, to have discovered the following:
The Ark of the Covenant.
Chariot wheels and other relics from Pharaoh’s drowned army at the bottom of the Red Sea.
The real Sodom and Gomorrah, with building outlines still standing as piles of sulfur-fried ash.
Noah’s Ark.
The real Mt Sinai.15
The rock at Horeb.
The true site of Korah’s earthquake.
Noah’s house, and the graves of Mr and Mrs Noah, together with millions worth of her jewelry (allegedly then stolen from Wyatt).
The real site of the crucifixion, apparently above the cave containing the Ark of the Covenant, so that Christ’s blood would drip on to the Mercy Seat.
An actual sample of Christ’s blood, with chromosomes allegedly still visible under the microscope, showing that there was no human father. Placed in growth medium, the cells began dividing, says Ron.
The tablets of the Ten Commandments, bound by golden hinges.

The only problem (a tiny, little one) is that all these discoveries have disappeared, or been lost, or have been hidden by bad men.

I don't think that "God's word" is really meant to be held up to scientific scrutiny. Belief in God is not really about science, it is about faith. If one insists on a literal interpretation of scripture, you're going to have a lot of inconsisty with contemporary scientific knowledge. I don't see why that should be a problem - after all, science is constantly disproving old theories and developing new ones. The "scientific knowledge" of 1000 years ago doesn't always hold up well today. Scriptures are written by man, after all and are probably accurate to the understanding of the world at the time they were written. Still, some things have stood the test of time:
1 Corinthians 15:41
There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
All stars look alike to the naked eye. Even when seen through a telescope, they seem to be just points of light. However, analysis of their light spectra reveals that each is unique and different from all others. It would seem that one star does, indeed, differ from another.

There is no god so how can science be the proof the existence of God. Fundis just hope no one will actual examine the idea closely. They have obviously not examined themselves because they know it is rubbish

Any scientist who is familiar with how the earth is formed and plate tectonics isn't puzzled by the finding of fossils (sea bed fossils I presume) above sea level...
You won't find that proof because that proof does not exist,
ID is a postulation, and not even a hypothesis

Recently, I 've heard of a theory called the God Theory which while figured up by an atheist, the name was given by others, with his disapproval. lol. I believe it has something to do with the universe being an comprised of information system(s). Sorry to be so general for I've not looked into it much yet.

I'm no educated person so be gentle...
The Sun and Moon split the sky into Day and Night. oh and stars.
GOD said let there be light and the big bang happened, and there was light.
GOD made man in his image - although being modern I pick modern man, not the early ones. Humans that had big brains, etc.
Hmm...
GOD put the water in one place forming the oceans, and made mountains. After the rains.
Is this close?
Peace!
Hey, Spring is getting closer!
GO SPURS!

Here is a sample of what makes life so interesting, it's the power of choice. The product of choice makes every human being different than his neighbor but all made with the same in mind. You believe the existence or non-existence of a creator in the very same fashion at which I have my very own reason to believe there does exist a creator far above our plane of existence. The act of confirming a belief is given to you in a way your neighbor will never see. As for my philosophy, my creator says to believe he exists does not give a reward of duplicating his power thru another life, he owns my existence although I have the perfect right to choose how I maintain it.
