Who is your favorite American Idol contestant this year and why?

My favorite is definitely Adam Lambert this season. Adam amazes me with his astonishing vocal range, the way he handles a stage, and I love how he doesn't fit into the American Idol box.

Most of my favorites throughout the years have definitely not fit into the American Idol box. I personally think Adam Lambert will be better off not winning American Idol. Adam seems like he is extremely creative and I would hate to see his creativity stifled by American Idol. Hopefully, he can get far enough and earn enough face exposure to get a record deal on his terms and put out a record that is suitable to what he wants to accomplish.

I also like the following:

Scott: I enjoy Scott's voice and feel he has a very Adult Contemporary styled voice. I could see Scott easily getting a record deal. The only annoyance I have with Scott is the fact he has been picking too many slow songs. I would love to see Scott pick a more upbeat song and have fun. I also was very ticked when Paula said Scott is using the piano as a crutch! More than likely Scott will be playing piano on the American Idol tour and future tours if he is lucky enough to tour after the show and on his records if he receives a record contract after the show is said and done.

Kris Allen: Kris Allen has taken be my surprise! Kris like Adam has picked songs that immensely suit his voice. I could see Kris appealing to the Adult Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Country, and Pop/Rock markets.

All of my favorites this season have been eliminated except for Allison Iraheta. It seems like most of the contestants this season are just using stories to get themselves far in this game, whether it is intentional or not. Scott, Lill, Danny; they all have stories. Also, a lot of the contestants, such as Adam, already have had a ton of singing experience. There are few contestants who have relied solely on their talent, and for that I like Allison. She's real, she seems down to earth, and she's got a unique voice that the show really hasn't seen in a while. She went from being the only finalist without a fanbase for not being shown in Hollywood week or auditions, to being one of the most popular singers this season. Allison Iraheta for the win!

My favorite is Kris Allen. He has such an amazing voice and he's a real artist. I like how humble and real he is. I also like Megan Joy's unique sound and quirky nature, although I don't think she will win. Anoop is great too and so is Matt Giraud.

mine are allison and scott......allison is a great singer for being only 16 and scott i give him credit being up there when he is blind and he also sings good.....
