Avast and Spybot Search and Destroy?

Is it okay to have both Avast and Sypbot Search and Destroy installed on my computer? or can Avast stand alone -- not needing search and destroy? How about Google's Spyware Doctor or Yahoo's Anti-Spy? Please enlighten me. Thank you.

That's a good combination of security software. Better than just the Avast. Avast will catch some spyware, but Spybot does a much more thorough and specific scan for spyware. I personally use AVG and Spybot and have never been infected. Make sure to run the Spybot scan about once a month.

Yes its okay to have both as i do ,and more, i have also the free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.(http://www.malwarebytes.org)/

    CCleaner from http://www.filehippo.com/

    Win Patrol from http://www.filehippo.com/

    Avira Rootkit Detector from http://www.free-av.com/

Spybot and Malwarebytes are very reliable .

PC Tools Spyware Doctor and Yayoo's Anti_Spy should be taken with a pinch of salt are these are not popular software.
