when he said he is a bit of a perv. he meant that when you say one thing he is thinking you said something else...
i would tell him that being a perv is not a bad thing because there are a lot of guys who are perv

Could have been a joke? Or the fact thathe feels that he could be have slight sense of satyriasis (look it up ;-P)
