A co-worker has shingles, Ive had chicken pox, my understanding is that I cant get shingles because of that. My question is, I have a 2 1/2 month old baby at home who of course has never had chicken pox or a vaccine for them, can I carry it home to him. Im scared, beacuse I dont know anything about shingles. Please help. Thanks.

Your understanding is wrong. Shingles is herpes zoster and herpes zoster is not contagious.
The varicella-zoster virus is what causes chicken pox. If you've had chicken pox and your immune system was able to clear the virus from your body, you'll never hear from it again. But, if you weren't able to clear it, there's a chance that you will develop herpes zoster later on. This is because the virus retreated into spinal nerves and went dormant. Herpes zoster (H. zoster) is a reactivation, a reawakening, if you will, of the varicella-zoster virus (VZV). The outbreaks comes in cycles and VZV can be transmitted during outbreaks with close or direct contact with the fluid in the blisters that occur during an outbreak. Most outbreaks occur on one side of the trunk and since this is an area that's usually covered, direct contact is unlikely. The majority of people will keep the affected area covered during an outbreak anyway, no matter where it is. So, for this reason and because you're immune to infection, you have nothing to worry about. The condition H. zoster itself cannot be transmitted -- it's a consequence of having VZV in the spinal nerves.
You've stated that you don't know anything about herpes zoster, but now you do. Research it online and learn even more. Live to learn.

No, Unless your baby comes into direct contact with the Herpes Zoster Virus he can not get shingles...if your child has been directly exposed then there is a chance he could develope Chicken Pox not shingles. The odds are slim as he is very young and may still have your immunities. Anyway...if he has been directly exposed then there is usually a 14 day incubation period before chicken pox occurs.

Contact with the fluid from shingles blisters can give chickenpox to someone who has not had chickenpox before. You are immune to chickenpox, so you can't get anything from your coworker. But either way, I doubt you would be touching her shingles blister fluid.
Anyone who has had chickenpox or the chickenpox vaccine can get shingles, but not from being exposed to someone with shingles.
Shingles is becoming more common because of the chickenpox vaccine. Before the vaccine, there was always naturally circulating chickenpox virus in the community, giving people natural immunity boosters. Without natural immunity boosters every several years, the possibility of developing shingles increases a lot.

You can't get shingles without first having chickenpox as I understand it.
You're baby is really young and has many of your immunities still active within. If you're breast feeding even more so.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, but you can always call your pediatrician for peace of mind.
I had shingles in college and it was not fun at all....really hurt!

I was tested positive for herpes approximately six years back, when I was in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I suppose many of girls will say this but I swear I never did that sort of thing. I jud made a mistake that one time and, suddenly, it seemed like I was going to have to live with the problem for the rest of my life. The worst part was thinking I would never date guys again. After all, who wants to date a woman who has blisters around her you-know-what? But after a good friend showed me this video https://tr.im/CuresHerpes2015bqmm everything has changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than fifteen days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so happy to say that just last week, in front of many people in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program gave me back the chance to be happy, and to experience true love.
