Pls help me download Lost Dutchman Mine game to my pc?
This game is the 1989 Dos version and I found a couple sites for downloading. One seemed free and I've downloaded everything but cannot figure out how to run it. I'm totally willing to pay for it if it will work but I'm worried about putting money into something and still not have the right equipment (video card big enough etc?).
I have Windows Vista.
Also, what is the best site to download games for Vista. Again, willing to pay just want it to work well.
Thanks!!!
WOW, thanks!
I have downloaded this link http://www.worldoffreegames.com/factsheet.php?id=6...
Then now after downloading I have all the LDM files including some that are exe.
When I tried to open it it says This system does not support a fullscreen model.

You will need a program like DosBox. Dosbox is free to download and emulates an old Dos computer so that old games and programs will run. Its like running a computer inside your vista computer. Read the help files, you will need to mount the game files in a directory where you can find it easily (like say c:\dutchman\) and run it from within Dosbox. The program will be fooled into thinking it's running on old hardware and vista will be unable to 'help' run the program.
It would help me to know what files you have and the state of the game on your computer as well as any error messages you are getting.
