  • why hasn't my cell and computer times changed for daylight savings?

I checked and my computer is set to update for daylight savings. I've never had my cell not switch. What time does everyone else's clocks say? I am in Easter Standard (Michigan) and it's 1:52 now.

  • I have some money to spend and no ideas on what to get... Moms! what can you not live without:)?

I am a mom of 4 little ones so I figured this was the best category to put this question in:) I have around $500 to spend on myself that I cannot invest (that was the stipulation) it is a gift and I am suppose to just buy some stuff for myself. I have sufficient clothing/shoes/purse anything a women could "need" but I'm looking for things you have that are REALLY great. For instance I have an irobot vacuum and I cannot remember what it was like before that it works so well in my home. Anyway, thanks ahead of time for any ideas.

  • PLEASE help me-i cannot connect to the internet?

I just bought a Dell mini 10v and it was on the internet (it downloaded anti-virus updates) but I bought a linksys router and now no matter if I plug the ethernet cable directly into the computer it still says address not valid or internet explorer cannot display the web page.

    1. I have a siemens modem all green lights on.

    2. I have a Linksys router some blue lights on...

    3. the ethernet cable is going from the modem to the router and the router has a usb cable connecting it to the dell.

    4. I have DSL through at&t.

I don't understand what could be going wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    THANK YOU!

  • New dell mini, how do I go wireless?

I know this sounds silly but I don't know how to connect to the wireless internet. I've always had a wire.

I just bought a dell mini 10v. I have a Toshiba laptop with a wire, a siemens speedstream 4100 Ethernet modem. I have internet through DSL At & t. Now what? How do I go wireless? My new dell says it has wifi. What do I need to buy and what do I do with it when I get it.

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm 29yr old but just old enough that we grew up on dinosaur computers:(

    THANKS!

  • Pls help me download Lost Dutchman Mine game to my pc?

This game is the 1989 Dos version and I found a couple sites for downloading. One seemed free and I've downloaded everything but cannot figure out how to run it. I'm totally willing to pay for it if it will work but I'm worried about putting money into something and still not have the right equipment (video card big enough etc?).

    I have Windows Vista.

Also, what is the best site to download games for Vista. Again, willing to pay just want it to work well.

    Thanks!!!

  • How do you know if your baby is laying posterior or normal?

Is there a way to feel or know (besides an ultrasound) if your baby is posterior (sunny side up). I've had 2 out of 3 this way and I cannot find any info on the web on how to tell. I'm due next week and I'm a bit worried.

    THANKS!!!

  • Forgot egg in the stuffed shells recipe. What will happen next?

I was suppose to add an egg to the ricotta filling of the shells and forgot. All that is in it is ricotta, parm & moz plus some parsley.

With sauce on bottom and a bit on top with cheese sprinkled on top.

    What can I expect?

  • My coffee tastes horrible! Help please!!?

My coffee maker just a few days ago started brewing coffee I can't even swallow its so bad. I thought maybe it was the coffee or creamer (I changed those) but nothing changed. I used a coffee cleaner and cleaned it, still it tastes the same.

The taste is almost a bitter taste. The water I use is tap water and it takes fine alone.

What should I do? I really enjoy my cup of coffee in the morning:(

  • I just found $3,000 in a Roth IRA... can you help me?

We invest through my husbands work for our retirement (403B). A few years ago we met with a financial consultant and he talked us into quite a few things. We put about $400 a month into a IRA and then cancelled after a bit. I just found papers sent from the company saying we have $3,000 in the account.

My question is (since I know NOTHING about investing) can we just take that money out? Will it be taxed? Anything I should know?

    Thanks!!!

  • Orthodox Catholics - question on natural family planning?

I just listened to yet another Catholic radio program that was about NFP and how great it is for couples. The host said something about many people assume Catholics are suppose to just keep "popping them out" the expert said not true, we are suppose to be responsible parents, if you have financial, "emotional" etc reasons you don't have to have a child at that time.

My question is this: I was under the impression that parents should always be open to life and lovingly welcome any child God would like to give you. The CCC said it is acceptable in "grave" situations.

What is the true orthodox reasoning for NFP and when it is not acceptable?

  • What is objectionable about this Obama ad?

It was rejected by NBC for the Super Bowl and I think it's a beautiful commercial. I know they were trying to let Peta do a pro-vegetarian commercial but after much editing they decided against it because it was too racy. Do you see anything objectionable about this ad??

  • replacement windows - handyman vs. window company?

I have a family member who is a handyman and has done windows once before. He is in need of work. We've had some companies quote us and they all of course have these built to fit super insulated windows.

My question is this: is there any real reason why I wouldn't want to go with the family guy? I know that he can only buy windows from Lowes or something and then he'd have to caulk etc to fit. Is this going to kill the savings?

ps. just FYI: house 3,000 sq ft, 10ft ceilings, original 100yr old windows, no exterior insultation or basement insulation (attic is done), we keep the temp at about 68degrees..... thanks.

  • new windows in an old home? is it really worth it?

Our house is 100yr old with original windows and no exterior insulation (though it does have plaster walls etc that help).

We wondered if buying new windows would help that much. It's 3,000 sq ft and this month it cost around $700 to heat. If we bought new windows how much do you think we would realistically save a month? (based on a double hung low E type of glass from maybe Lowes).

    THANKS for your input!

  • Replacement window help!! Better than standard Low-E?

We just had a quote down by a company called Hanson's Windows. They claimed to have a superior product called Krypton-Enhanced I-Q Glass. They had a heat lamp & the energy savings was more like 50% instead of standard low-e which was more like 20% savings.

    Has anyone heard of this??

Any other tips for getting replacement windows?

  • anti-virus help - or is it Vista? I need HELP!?

I have a Toshiba, Satellite lap top. I have Vista on it and McAfee anti-virus software.

This lap top is super slow (memory etc are not the issue, we checked). Then it will slowly freeze up and then a message pops up saying check your anti-virus software. When I check it (it's updated and everything) it says eveything is fine.

When I open the McAfee on access scan statistics it says 626 detected, 625 deleted. I cannot get any more info. I'm so confused.

Can anyone help? This has been going on since I bought this computer a year ago.
