New dell mini, how do I go wireless?

I know this sounds silly but I don't know how to connect to the wireless internet. I've always had a wire.

I just bought a dell mini 10v. I have a Toshiba laptop with a wire, a siemens speedstream 4100 Ethernet modem. I have internet through DSL At & t. Now what? How do I go wireless? My new dell says it has wifi. What do I need to buy and what do I do with it when I get it.

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm 29yr old but just old enough that we grew up on dinosaur computers:(

THANKS!

    Hi there,

Now you need a wireless router to provide the wireless signal and addressing for your laptop.

I bought a Belkin wireless G router at Walmart for $29- that works well and set up was very easy. Just carefully read and follow the directions that come with the router. You will even have the short ethernet patch cable included for connecting the router to the DSL modem.

There is a link below for an example.

    Hope this helps,

    Al

ok well all you need is a wireless router. once you have that set up all you have to do is in your computer go to control panel, then click on network, and select your wireless network. simple as that. if you have any more questions just email me
