How Come IE8 Crashes So Often?

I have a Dell Optiplex DX260 running XP Pro and I downloaded the new IE8 yesterday. Since then it has crashed more time then Evil Kenivel on drugs. Everytime I go to a new site or even an old one, it tells me that due to problems it will have to close. While even trying to write this it has crashed three time and has to close. What's up with that? How do I stop it, or even better how do I delete it and go back to IE7 without causing more problems. So far I have downloaded it three time and as Brittney sang Opps I Did It Again? It was a Yahoo download.

Update:

By the way I can no longer enter into some sites such as Crackle.com or Hulu.com, which I could before. There it goes again.

Why are you using it? I don't want to be rude but IE anything is pants and dangerous, slow - must I go on?

Get Firefox or Chrome. Thay are the best and should always be used unless you are a programmer or have a slow system when the alternative would still not be IE7.

Google the reviews and see for yourself. If you have windows then I would suggest Chrome. I use Firefox because of the add-ons. You Tube downloader etc
