What is the spirit of judgment?

Recently, I been hearing legal consultants stating that the law is not about Justice and that law is all about evidences.

If evidences are easily fabricated to mislead human’ senses and witnesses are easily bribe with cashes or threats.

Do you agree then that honest people are vulnerable to being frame?

In cases of an individual vs. a corporation.

My question is; if law is not about justice, then why do we have law?

Please pardon me for posting this Q here and yes I am questioning our mortal law.

Law is to aid justice, if it does not as you rightly said, it is a mockery. There were times in History where justice was done without advocacy. When there is a very objective, specific and clear cut code of conduct laid out and punishment ordained, any deviation automatically dictates its own punishment, why argument? To provide escape routes?!

Sorry to hear you you have had a bad experience with the law lately Xavier. Law should be about justice and fairness, but i agree that most laws these days seem to protect the companies and the attackers more than the victims. Yes, evidence is important, but as money talks these days, it cant always be trusted. Honest people can be framed and treated unfairly and this is just not right. The law system should be made to be fairer and more protective of the ordinary working person, until this is done and looked into, there will keep being miscarriages of justice. Whoever said "crime doesn't pay", doesn't have a real clue. Thats not to say that the law should not be upheld, but we should have better representation for the victims...

The way I look at it is that laws were instituted because mankind is not following two simple laws: Love God and Love your fellowman.

Example: Why do you think God gave a law that if a strayed cow would wonder on a mans land he must give it back to the owner?

If he showed love for his fellowman , he would give it back and their would be no need for a law, but because he never gave it back, God had to make it a law.

The court system is a microcosm of our society as a whole. When society gets away from a basic moral standard (i.e.: Biblical values, principals) then there is not absolute truth, absolute wrong or right, and in turn no absolute “Justice”.

Fairness is the Spirit of Judgement!

But whether justice is meted out or not depends on many human factors! And can be manipulated as you have rightly pointed out...with the result the honests become the victim and rich or cunning go scot free!

Laws are formulated with an eye on justice only but there are always some loopholes which can be, and in fact are, exploited.

But remember, there is a Higher Court up above!

Welcome Back, Bro! Hope you'll get justice...whatever your fight may be!

    May God bless you!

simply we have to ask ourselves a very simple question : which on top ,justice or mercy ?

justice comes from the mind and based on hard evidence (law).

mercy comes from the heart and based on THE SPIRIT OF JUDGMENT.
