Pokemon Platinum or Pokemon Pearl/diamond?

I got Diamond and i love it!

It has all of the same cities and whatnot, but there are differences. It has all of the same areas, and more. Instead of the Battle Tower, it has the Battle Frontier. Also, the plot is quite different. There are several new characters, such as The Looker, a member of the International Police Force. Another new character is Charon, an Admin for Team Galactic. Also you can get a kind of Villa in the Resort Area as long as you are a member of the Resort. It is a bit more challenging than Diamond and Pearl, with levels raising faster. Also, many of the gyms have been completely redesigned and Fantina's Gym has completely changed, not only in looks, but in its order. There is a new region called the Distortion World, where you can go to catch Giratina. You can still go into the cave where Giratina was before, where you can pick up an item that allows you to change Giratina's forme, which is pretty nice. Also, if you have gotten any of the recent event pokemon, you can trade them over and most of them will give you an advantage or gain you a new item. Also, there are several pokemon that were not obtainable without the use of Pal Park or the Dual Slot Function that have been added to Platinum. You can now catch all pokemon that you previously needed to Dual Slot for without the function, as the DSi does not have a GBA Slot, and Nintendo is finally getting away from Game Boy Advance games To sum it up pretty nicely, yes, Pokemon Platinum is similar to Pearl and Diamond, but it is well worth the buy, because the plot is quite different, and there are some perks that you can only get in Platinum.

Diamond and Pearl. Platinum is really just minor changes and extra features you can really do without. Some new animations and looks for Pokémon. Its not really worth the expense. You should get Diamond or Pearl on Amazon or eBay.. you can probably get it for like $12-16 as opposed to buying Platinum anywhere.. that's like $40

Platinum it's better because you can catch Dialga, palkia, Girantina, and the 3 pokemons of the lake. you also get to catch the other legends too if you get to pal park or something like that.
