what to wear to a bar mitzvah?

A dress is fine. Nothing fancy, I'm going to a bat mizvah this Saturday, then next Saturday i'm going to a bar mizvah. To both parties I'm wearing a black dress that goes a little longer then my knees. You can wear black dress or colorful dress. Make sure it is something comfortable. For shoes you can wear heels, or flats. Ask the bar mizvah boy if there is going to be socks at the party for the girls, If there are not going to be socks you should wear flats, only because you would be dancing, and unless there are socks that you can put on and take off your shoes, it would be uncomfortable dancing in heels all day.

If you are a boy you should wear a suit. Don't wear jeans and a tank top! It would be really embarrassing! It's kinda like a wedding, but no one is getting married. hee hee. And there would be more dancing then talking. :D Have fun!!!!!!!

And if you don't know what to give as a gift, you can just give a check to the kid. ($16 - $32) You don't need to bring this big present. Unless you want to of course! :p
