math help!!...simplifying polynomials! :(?

can anyone plz explain to me how this works!

the question says to simplfy this equation....

(-2x + 3) - (3x + 2)...the "x" is a variable not a mutiplication sign

ans the answer in the book is 5(2x + 3)

but i dont understand how they got that answer...plzz explain!!!!!!

    (-2x + 3) - (3x + 2)

    = -2x + 3 - 3x - 2

    = -5x + 1

    book is wrong!

    well when you do the math and put like terms together its

    -2x-3x + 3-2

    =-5x-1

    maybe your looking at the wrong question cuz thats as simple as that gets

    if what your reading is write your answer would be 10x+15 and theres no way u can get that from eachother

    It looks like the book is wrong...

    (-2x+3)-(3x+2)

    -2x+3-3x-2

    -5x+1

    That answer given in the book is incorrect for simplifying this expression.

    you need to distribute that negative sign into the second set of parentises...So (-2x + 3) - (3x + 2)...becomes...-2x + 3 - 3x - 2

    The answer is -5x + 1

    = -2x + 3 - 3x - 2 = -5x + 1

    The answer is -5x + 1, there is obviously an error in the book...unless you copyed the question incorrectly.
