If the earth were to come under attack from other wordly beings, would racism as we know it cease to exist?

What do you think would happen? This would essentially be an attack targeting ALL humans, and not any particular race, ethnicity, or country on the planet. Would we be capable of setting aside petty differences such as race and ethnicity in order to join together simply as human beings and combat the common enemy?

I'm pretty sure most people will forget about race, and launch a counter-attack on the other worldly beings. If we win we would learn to appreciate each other or be back to their original selves. Mostly likely one race will claim to be the ones to defeat the other worldly beings.

Racism will very much decrease as quickly as we make touch with a greater superior civilization from yet another planet. Then many of the bias will shift to what planet you're from. President Ronald Reagan as quickly as pronounced that on the UN standard assembly.

I would think that most of us would put aside our differences. That's how it is in most families. It's okay to attack each other but when someone different attacks, we come together. Maybe that's why the government has kept any facts on aliens under raps.

No. Whoever from whichever race will say "see, it took a (insert your race here) person to defeat the aliens."
