Servicing, fixing your iPod's Wi-Fi component is indeed risky.
This part, as well as the screen, and other parts are not to be tampered with unless you're an Apple technician because these are not user-friendly!
Go back to the Apple Store where the employees and/or experts can have a look at it. I wouldn't suggest Best Buy because they're only an authorized dealer, and not experts on these!

DONT DO ANYTHING TO IT!
take it to where you bought it, and see if they can fix it. Or, go back to the apple store, and see if they can fix it. Try best buy.
