Where does Mozilla Firefox store the Bookmarks?

I want to copy bookmarks from my old computer to my new computer, but I can't find the folder that I need to copy. Thanks!

Go to Bookmarks in the menu bar > Click on Organise Bookmarks > A window should pop up click on 'Import and Backup' > Export HTML > Have a way to transfer the html file to your new computer and import via the firefox browser over there.

For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/ax2q0

Open Firefox, and on the menu go to Bookmarks - Manage Bookmarks... Then in the window that appears go to File - Export... and select a location to export your bookmarks to (USB memory stick or something would be ideal). Then when you have reformatted your computer, reinstall Firefox and go through the same procedure except choose Import... and you can reload your old bookmarks exactly as they were. This method is a whole load simpler than moving them manually, assuming that your machine is still operational enough to run Firefox. Rawlyn.

Mozilla Firefox stores bookmarks up your azz. jk

right click start button and click "explorer", go to the Mozilla folder, click on firefox, click on profiles, and go to the folder that has a code followed by default for a name. Within there, there is your bookmark folder called "bookmarkbackups"

In version 3.x.x, the bookmarks appear to be kept in the following file:

    In Windows XP:

    c:\Documents and Settings\your username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\your profile number.default\places.sqlite

In Windows Vista, that would probably be

    c:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\your profile number.default\places.sqlite

    Hope that helps.

Easiest is to get the add on foxmark. Then you can save your bookmarks and synchronize them to the other computer. Comes in handy if your computer has to be reformatted as you can just download from their server.

Check out the FEBE extension which can help you backup/restore not only bookmarks but also extensions, preferences, passwords, cookies or even your entire profile.

You can go to tools, options, and where it says start up you can choose use current pages. That will make it so that every time you delete the whole page, next time you use the internet it'll startup on the sites you had.
