Who created God (atheist btw)?

There always has to be a creator. I am atheist but according to the bible, God created everything. But, as everyone knows, there is always a creator. God didn't simply appear out of thin air. I was just curious to know who created God?

If you want the secular answer, then man created God. However, the biblical question of who made God can be answered by simply looking at space and asking, "Does space have an end?" Obviously, it doesn't. If there is a brick wall with "The end" written on it, the question arises, "What is behind that wall?" Strain the mind though it may, we have to believe, have faith, that space has no beginning and no end. He is eternal. The Bible informs us that time is a dimension that God created, into which man was subjected: 2 Timothy 1:9 says, "[God] who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began." Another example, Titus 1:2 says, "...in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began." It even tells us one day time will no longer exist. That will be known as eternity. God himself dwells outside of the dimension He created. He dwells inside eternity and is not subject to time. God spoke history before it came it came into being. He can move trough time as a man flips through a history book. Because we live in the realm of time, logic and reason demand that everything must have a beginning and an end. We can understand the concept of God's eternal nature the same way we understand the concept of space having no beginning and end, by faith. We simply have to believe they are so, even though such thoughts put a strain on our distinctly insufficient cerebrum. Some atheist claim that if God can be infinite, the the universe can also be without a beginning. The illogical presumption here is that the universe has an intelligence in and of itself, because intelligence is required to carry out the order we call creation. If that is correct, the only logical conclusion would be that the universe somehow has the ability to think and to create from nothing. But then we would be describing God. So, in essence, some atheist are presuming the universe is God, or Creator.

Remember, not that 'everything' has a creator, or cause, but that everything 'that begins to exist' has a cause. If God is eternal, as many theist believe, then he had no beginning and thus neither a creator nor a cause.

    Who Created God Atheist

Everything in this universe had a beginning, so that's all we are capable of understanding. According to all the known laws of physics, etc., every thing , every action, must have had a cause. However, God is not a "part" of this universe. He is the One who created it. Where is he from? We don't know, what else is there besides him? We don't know. How is it possible he could have always existed? We don't know. God is not from this physical universe and he is therefore not bound by its physical laws (such as the law that requires every action to have an equal and opposite reaction, etc.) God is not physical, he is spiritual. That statement right there should be enough to stop any sort of argument from any atheistic scientist, because how can a person scientifically define a spirit being??? It can't be done, it's not a part of this universe, we don't have any concept for it, we have no frame of reference, we have no science for that. The people here who are arguing that "if God didn't need a beginning then the universe didn't need a beginning" that statement goes against all the laws in this universe and you know it. The absolute undeniable proof of God is that there has to be a first cause of anything and everything that has ever happened in this universe. But outside of this universe? We don't know, and we don't need to know. We have been given everything we will ever need to live a happy and full life in this universe so vast and complex that we could spend an eternity exploring it and never see it all.

Your assumption that something must be created in order to exist is a little flawed. It assumes that time is not relative and follows a straight path. Energy exists, but the first law of thermodynamics states that it cannot be created. It is possible for something to have always existed outside the parameters of time. If you assume that events must follow a chronological order than you will never achieve an answer to that question; just like you will never know the last digit to pi.

I personally don’t believe in God or at the least a being of supreme power that possesses humanlike characteristics. Perhaps we are all God and we will one day reunite when the universe achieves equilibrium.

As for the bible, what can I say other than it was written by men?

    Dear Friend,

The question is all wrong. If God were created, then it wouldn't be God. Whatever created it would be God. And because God exists does not mean that something had to bring God into existence. God is existence itself.

You are right about one thing, "God didn't simply appear out of thin air." God did not simply appear out of thin air because God always is, so there is no appearing.

We can look at two things to help us understand that God was not created. First is the five proofs of God by St. Thomas Aquinas. They are as follows:

    (1) FIRST MOVER: Some things are in motion. Anything moved is by another. There cannot be an infinite series of movers. So there must be a first mover (a mover that isn't in itself moved by another). This is God.

    (2) FIRST CAUSE: Some things are caused. Anything caused is caused by another. There cannot be an infinite series of causes. So there must be a first cause (a cause that isn't in itself caused by another). This is God.

    (3) NECESSARY BEING: Every contingent being at some time fails to exist. So if everything were contingent, then at some time there would be nothing, which is false. So, not everything is contingent. So there is a necessary Being. This is God.

    (4) GREATEST BEING: Some things are greater than others. Whatever is great to any degree gets its greatness from that which is greatest. So, there is a greatest being, which is the source of all greatness. This is God.

    (5) INTELLIGENT DESIGNER: Many things in the world that lack intelligence act for an end (goal). Whatever acts for an end must be directed by an Intelligent Being. So, the world must be directed by an intelligent designer. This is God.

There is also the name God revealed to Moses. God said, "I am who am." What God is telling Moses is, "It is my nature to exist." This differs from human beings. Human beings and all other things do not have it in their nature to exist, that is a power to exist all on their own. Hence, we and everything is created. Yet, for God who is existence has it in His nature to exist. Therefore, God cannot be created for God is existence itself. In short, God always is. May the Lord bless and keep you. May the light of His face shine upon you.

various religions answer this question in different ways.........

The LDS church (Mormonism) says that the God (Elohim) to whom we are accountable had a father god, then grew up on a planet as a man, and progressed to become a god himself.......

Many other religions have claimed that gods beget other gods. Of course the problem with this idea is how did the first god get here... This problem of infinite regression invalidates such religions.......

Christianity claims that God has always existed.......Christianity answers the question of who created God in the very first verse of the very first book, Genesis:

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)...

This verse tells us that God was acting before time when He created the universe. ...other verses from the New Testament tells us that God was acting before time began, and so, He created time, along with the other dimensions of our universe....

God has no need to have been created, since He exists either outside time (where cause and effect do not operate) or within multiple dimensions of time (such that there is no beginning of God's plane of time)........ Hence God is eternal, having never been created.....

There does not have to be a creator. As far as we can tell the universe came about through natural processes. Humans invented all gods to explain what they once could not explain. If we had known then what we know now, the Abrahamic faiths would never have gotten off the ground.

For some reason people seem to want to believe in some kind of super-parent figure watching over them. The problem is that they also seem to believe that their pet deities want us to remain infants forever, believing in magic and superstition instead of using our minds and tools to learn about the world.

Humanity needs to grow up. If the religions of the world have any say about it, though, we never will.

no one he was the first one on the earth.Good question!

here is to all the non-christians out there- if you've read the bible, the whole bible, you would know these are the last days(God is coming back) He is coming to get his people( the ones that were faithful to him and never parted from him.) the sinners will be judged and sent to hell(a dark Sulfur Lake, Firey lake this is a place that has no light whats so ever and you hear shrieks, screams, tormenting) If you've read the holy bible you would know that the things the lord said were going to happen in the last days are happening now. But i'm telling you now follow god's word and you will be safe from the evil one. God said there will be a few in heaven be that few so that you don't have to burn forever. Because remember you are already dead when you go to hell so you don't burn and die you just burn and burn and burn forever and ever.

I love you all and care for you all!!!!

If you're an atheist.. God was created by an old man at a campfire, in answer to a child who asked " where did we/the world/the sky come from?"

For all people of religion..God was the beginning, and will be the ending....

this question was asked by Naranda Muni from Lord Brahma (the creator). Lord Brahma replied that although he is the creator, he is basically not God. Brahma creates, Vishnuu (God) maintains and Siva annihilates. God is aloof from all creation and reincarnation duties even though all rests in Him. He is the original yet He is unborn. (i know it appears to be confusing...) all of this can only be perceived by spiritual vision. you can not reach God by a ladder. He descends to you. all the best.

Source(s): by the way, i don't consider people an atheist just because they claim to be one. you have a Lord in the heart that at every moment shows to yourself who you are. and only you would know that.
