Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai?
Ok so im 14 years old, weigh 122 lbs. and am 5'11 in height. I have been in fights before, and have been beaten up. I can definetely take hits but i dont want to get beaten up anymore so what martial art would be better for a skinny guy like me? Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai?
Whats more practial also?

Skinny and tall usually means long limbs. Your natural technique would normally be Muay Thai.
Both have their practical purposes in a fight however, given the fact that fights usually start when you're standing up, Muay Thai would be the first and simpler of the two to grasp.
BJJ would be more humane as it can be used to stop and control the aggressor without unnecessary injury or bloodshed.
You have to ask yourself a single question: are you just a plain out hitter or are you someone who likes to resolve conflicts with control and restraint? What is your personality?
Then choose.
Edit: If you have the money and if you have the time, take both. You'll increase your odds in a single confrontation standing up or on the ground. However, you won't learn anything about fending off or using weapons nor will you learn much about dealing against multiple attackers. BJJ and Muay Thai still have their weak points...just so you know...

BOTH. it's crucial to be able to fight where ever the fight may go if your a muay thai guy that is great if the fight stays standing, but say your fighting a wrestler who will take you down, in muay thai there isn't any training from your back or any ground fighting. same with BJJ if your a grappler and your fighting a muay thai guy with good takedown defense he's going to force you into striking with him, because you won't be able to take him down to use your Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ). so it's very important to combine training in both of these martial arts to have an effective fighting style.

I would say Muay Thai my friend. You can always go over to get your groundgame after you get your stand-up in check. And seeing it you're 5'11 and only 14 years old already, Muay Thai would be a perfect way to use those long limbs of yours. I'm 6'2, 21yrs, and they work beautifully. My trainers always say that if you're having trouble figuring out what you want to start doing, whether its MT or BJJ, they always say to get the stand-up game first and then to more advanced, more thinking type groundgames like BJJ..
Good luck man. Train Hard, Fight Easy!

You're not going to get an answer to your question (atleast not a good one anyway) because the question is false.
Neither of them are better. Consider it more a moment. How on earth are you supposed to reliabaly (and by that I mean scientifically) find out which is better on the streets. In order for that to happen you have to simulate all the conditions. That would also mean the person would have to genuinly believe he or she is in danger. Now who is going to fund such an unethical study? (and an extremely pointless study too because there are more important things to be reseraching like stem cell or cancer).
This is ignoring the fact that martial arts don't fight for you. No one person no matter how good they are at a martial art can truly say they represent their martial art. No one is that perfect.
Just pick which ever one you think has the better school in your area.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was developed by the Gracie family for small skinny individuals . i suggest you to join a Brazilian JJ club.

Most people will prob disagree with me so look into these your self both are a combination of arts. i say for what you are looking for try
Krav Maga or Combat Sambo
there is no complete self defense system or perfect martial art so either study several styles or start out by taking a combination style then progress from what you like or thinks works best out of it
