Since you mentioned Powerpoint; I will assume you are using the Microsoft Windows operating system and not the iMac.

So I recommend you use "Windows Movie Maker". Most windows based computers already have it installed on the system. However if it has been accidentally deleted. You can download it again from http://www.download.com/ .

The type of video you want to create is called "A Picture Slideshow" and this is how you create it.

    1. Open Windows Movie Maker, and select the "Import Pictures" link on the left side.

    2. You will now be prompted to select an image from a folder on your computer. Images can be downloaded from Yahoo / Google.

    3. The picture will now be displayed in the Collections area. If you want more pictures just repeat step 2.

    4. You will need to drag & drop the picture(s) into the timeline storyboard at the bottom of the screen into the video section.

    5. To add music to your slide show, select the "Import Audio or Music" link on the left. You will be prompted to select music from a folder in your computer.

    6. The music will now appear in the Collections area. It will need to be drag & dropped directly under the pictures in the timeline storyboard.

    7. The music can be stretched or trimmed to fit the length of the slideshow, with the use of your mouse.

    8. When you're finished go to the file menu at the top toolbar section and select "Save Movie" and follow the instructions.

    9. This video is now ready to be uploaded to YouTube

If you have a digital camera, use that. Usually Powerpoint doesn't work, you should try Windows Movie Maker. It usually comes free with your computer.

That was most likely done in windows movie maker, most computers that run windows have this already installed on the computer, So go have a look for it under your start menu then program files....otherwise, I don't really know if you can.

With Windows Movie Maker, it should be installed right away when you first get your PC. Just look online for a How To guide.
