i had a 360 that i tried opening up, big mistake it cut me pretty deep and left a scar so i admited defeat and went back to the sony side of consoles.
I'm not telling you to get a ps3 by the way, it's obvious that you like 360's cos your on your 5th!
Im sure with a little trawling round some sites you'll find your black squares and get them replaced, least you'll know what to do wen they melt all over again...

It's not really advised, what I'd suggest to do it phone Microsoft and explain your situation. When they tell you to pay, don't be rude, but be firm, and say 'This is the 5th 360 that has been destroyed because of Microsoft's lack of care when developing this chipset of 360's' etc.
Some representatives will eventually give in and just repair it free.
On a sidenote, the new Jasper chipset has been released on the Elites, i have one myself. It makes the 360 much quieter, and, following reviews from websites such as IGN, it seems we might see the end to RRoD.
So if you like 360's so much that you're on your 5th, I'd strongly reccomend just buying the new xbox 360 with Jasper chipset.
