Want To Interpret My Latest Dumb Painting?

It’s just one of those silly paintings I do between ‘serious’ works. Still, before it becomes just another lining for a bird cage I am interested in whatever feedback it deserves or doesn't deserve.

So, for fun, what do you think? What do you see in this dumb painting that would save it from the bottom of a bird cage?

Update:

The painting represents, on a symbolically primitive level, the conflict between the two core belief systems about the origins of life. To those of you who took the time to respond and here I personally thank you for your sincere reply. To the several of you who saw the symbolism of the origins in the painting, I thank you. And to those of you who understand my self-mocking humor I thank you. It keeps me creatively humble.

As to picking a ‘best’ answer if it were up to me at least four of you would share such a distinction. But YA isn’t set up to sharing that way. So I’ll let you guys chose a ‘best’ answer. And again, I thank you all for your replies.

Actually I like it. I see a lot in it. The Creation Myth that give birth to the concept of the Divine Matrix.

    Quite interesting!

    Blessings!

Silly or not, ship it to me - I would consider it an honor to hang any of your works on my walls. They are still waiting for a Watson original.

Btw, I do not consider this birdcage material, unless you have a bird that drops bright vermilion, liquid silver or gold in artful ways... my eyes could follow your brush around all day here...

Keith Harring came to mind. The little sperm to the right did it. There's a splash of first nations art in there too.

You can certainly continue with a series of this "for fun" stuff. It's modern.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo Doc! PLEASE don't line the bird cage with this painting! I love it, it kind of reminds me of "La Guernica" - for me, it has a similar sense of unsettledness. I think it's quite a haunting piece. Do the snake-like creatures represent the serpent[s] from the Garden of Eden, perchance?

    Cheers,

definitely interesting, i would sign it, hold on to it, maybe frame it. it has way more potential than to die at the bottom of a bird cage.

you never know, someone may fall in love with it and want to buy it from you some day

    Nouveau Art Nouveau.

Why would you call this a dumb painting? I like it a lot. It is balanced. It's alive. It has got tension.

    I'd name this one:

" Celebration of life at a cellular level".

Never ever discard your art to a birdcage. Store it, keep it, sign it, write a note at the back, "My latest dumb painting" done by... for... with.... and I was cross with.... because......" And then give it away to the first person that says: "WOW". I do, always give them away.

    Peace.

Kudos. It's gorgeous. This is not a rough sketch or mere dabbling. It's beautifully composed.

I don't believe you're opening statement; nor neither do you I would wager.

It immediately draws one into it - very fascinating, and strangely, extraordinarily satisfying: don't ask me why, haven't the faintest idea.

Excuse my ignorance, but it appears "Picassoish" to me.

    Thanks for posting,
