I just watched the Avengers and the Chrysler building was featured (again) but I wondered;

*1. Can you use just any building in a movie? Did they have to get the consent of the heirs of William Van Alen or Walter P. Chrysler? They did recreate it for the movie. Or for that matter the White House in "Independance Day"

* 2. What does copyright law say about architecture and 'recreating' it to photograph it?

Well not today or tomorrow but is it true that the moon is on a declining orbit and thus eventually crash in a few million years? And if so: How was this calculated/ measured?

I'm pretty sure white blood cells are made in bone marrow. But what about plasma, red blood cells etc?

Not sure about the spelling at all. It's purely phonetically written down.

There are 7 months with 31 days

There are 5 months with 30 days

And there is the odd one out with 28 or 29 days

To me it would make sense to have:

6 months with 31 days

5 months with 30 days

and February with 29 or 30 days. It would balance out better

We have 'corrected' time with "daylight saving time". Why not with our calendar?

My window was covered with a sheet of aluminum foil and left some oxidization. Now I'm pretty sure I can remove it using some polishing stuff but that will also damage my window. Is there a safe, chemical way to remove the aluminum oxide?

When practicing CPR the pads we use on the dolls will last only about 10 times before the are so 'dusty' they will not stick properly. Replacing them with new ones is about 10$.

I came up with the idea to recycle them by just applying a new layer of adhesive but what would work best? It should come of easy but should keep the pads in place. Anybody that has experience or bright idea's?

It's body is about 4 mm and has a tail of 2 mm. It was found in the sugar bowl.

This is not that I have no clue. I'm looking for 'new' idea's to get a design on a car.

It has been bought in a curiosity shop as a.. well curiosity

It is possibly silver (at least silverisch), about 10 cm (4 inch) and has no moving parts.

How can Flickr recognize it came from a camera when I did that to it? Where did that info come from?

I'm working on this painting and can't seem to get the snakes right. What do you think should be the surface of these 'carven images'?
