What do you think of my outfit?
I'm attending a wedding saturday, and i wanted to play up one of my mother's vintage black dress from the 60's, (black satin) therefore I decided to mix colors and will wear it with pink open toe pumps, I don't know how to describe them exactly, but they have a nice swirvy pattern on my arch...and i've always been told Ihad nice feet.
I want to do a fancy bun (any ideas), and will wear my grandmother's pink pearl necklace and studs.
What do you think?
Do you think it's too dressy?
I forgot to mention my dress is short, it's a simple dress that flares up and opens up a little at the hips, but it stops at knee length.
the pearls are really small and tiny. I think the shoes are what attract the most attention

It depends. I understand wanting to look good. It sounds good that you want to wear something that will make you feel good.
I don't think it's too dressy... but maybe wear your hair down to play it down a little.
Be careful with black and weddings. It's kind of... gloomy for the occasion. You have the right idea with the accessories. Play up something simple with bright accessories and shoes.
Keep one thing in mind- this is the bride's day to shine. Look good, but try not to command more attention than her. When I go to a wedding, I like to look pretty but not take the spotlight off the bride.
Basically, I think it's fine as long as you don't overdo it. And be careful with black.

In all honesty, to me it seems more like a party oufit. But if the invite says, "Formal", than wear it. If the invite says, "Work Casual" then I think it's too formal.

that sounds great, for the bun make a pony, put gel in your hair, then loop it around so it looks like a bun ( it works sometimes.)
