I just got a invatation to Join NSHSS? is it legit?
It said I was nominated to become a member of National scociety of High School Scholars.
The thing, is, I recently made the shift back into "Homschooling" well not trully Homeschool, But I belong to a regional academy now. Instead of Highschool.
So im not quite sure, and from what iv been reading it doesn't sound to ligit more, of just paying 45 dollars, so you can have a "award" put on your transcript.
IF anyone has any info it'll be appreciated.

why not drop into the local h.s. and talk to a guidance councilor, and ask how to determine if the letter is from the real NSHSS? Bet they talk to you...if not because you're not a "real" student, then perhaps go visit the local community college...bet they'd have an answer.

I've never heard of that, but the first answerer makes it seem legit.
I have recieved similar things in the mail, like one about National Leadership. Some of those things are just scams of companies attempting to get money.

All honor societies/fraternities/etc. require members to pay dues. It's how they're run. I was in NSHSS when I was in high school... it did help, I think, when I applied for schools but if you don't want to pay the money it's not a big deal.
