Are you going to turn you lights off tomorrow at 8:30 pm?
For the global warming alarmists?Me Im going to turn on every light I see!!! Thats why I work! to pay the bills I make!
Man Im amazed,I didnt expect the turnout!
By the way,I live in Vegas, and I doubt they're gonna dim their lights either, thank you mr obama for telling everyone not to come here, were almost broke because of that!
Ive never asked for pandering, but star this,I wanna see how far it goes!
evil liberal,it wont be due to de-regulation as much as it has to do with, cap and trade by Obama. No matter what kind of light bulb you have,a smart meter(proposed) will tell on you,no matter if you have a cfl or not.Good luck with the mercury vapor, and haz-spills.

No. Earth Hour isn't about raising awareness (who hasn't heard of climate change by now), and it isn't about trying to save Mother Planet Earth, because turning off a few lights then turning them back on and letting them burn all night isn't going to slow down any effects significantly enough to be worth it. If that was their goal then how about shutting off the lights to the Sears Tower or the Eiffel Tower every night when most of us are asleep anyway? No, it's about making yourself look good in front of others, regardless of one's true carbon footprint, and in all honesty that's what the high majority of the environmental movement's truly about.

No, I plan on using every thing no one else does! Starting first thing Saturday morning I'll have a battle between heating and A/C see which can keep the temperature constant, my money is on the A/C as it is over-sized for my House and it literally can spit out ice cubes! Then I'm turning on every light, even though it won't get dark for 11 hours! Then turning up the temperature of the pool, jacuzzi, all the lights in the barn, firing up the tractor and farm truck, cutting down a couple of trees and burning some styrofoam I have been collecting...

I don't need to. I run only CFL that use less then 15 watts per bulb.
make all the jokes you want about global warming all I know is in my state our electric bills will be going up over 40% as of Jan 2010 thanks to DEREGULATION. and any way that I can save a dime on my bill I'm going to do.
you want to piss your money away by turning on every light to prove what a man you are go for it, it just shows your bulbs are brighter then you are.
BTW : it does have everything to do with deregulation I live in the state of PA and as of Jan 2010 PPL our electric supplier will be jacking our rates 40% should say if we are lucky it will not be much over 40%
this has nothing, NOTHING what so ever to do with cap and trade stuff.
as I stated your light bulbs are brighter then you.
BTW BTW : we have also been replacing windows with enegry star windows.
as I stated you like to piss your money away good for you.
as for this Liberal I'm trying to be Conservative. with my money and with the resources I use.

NO. I'm certainly not going to turn off my lights.
In fact, in protest against the lie of AGW and contrary to my typical lifestyle, I shall turn them all ON.
I will run all my appliances at the same time.
I am going to run my a/c full blast with all doors and windows open.
My TV and stereo and computer and radio will all be on.
I am going to turn on my car and let it idle for an entire hour with the a/c on.

If everyone in the world turned off their lights for one hour it would not make a bit of difference. The power plants would keep running at the same rate because they would have to supply the power when everyone turned their lights back on.

No, plus I'm going to burn a pile of leaves and an old tire.
Not that I'll be causing anywhere near the damage fraudster AlGore does with his mansions and private planes, but it'll be fun knowing libs will be powerless to stop it!

I'm a theater lighting tech; I'm going to blast about 30,000 watts of xenon spots & strobes in my backyard, powered off of the stove & dryer outlets.
C'mon over... it's the "Bring on global warming & thaw out Fargo party"
Cap&Trade taxation slavery treasonous bastards.

Not only will I turn every light in my house on, i think I'll build a bonfire in the backyard using a drum of burnt motor oil and a bunch of old tires. While I'm at it, I'll probably make sure every water faucet in the house is on as well.

No. That is just a 'feel good' tactic for people that otherwise waste quite regularly. I will continue to conserve every day as I usually do and more than make up for the minuscule additional savings that I might contribute during that one hour.

I plan on turning on each and every light, cranking up the ol' bass boat, gunning the engine of the ol' Expedition, plugging off a coupla clips out of the ol' FN-FAL and burning some "vote Democrat" signs in a branch and brush pile out in my field.
