If global warming is real why are not we acting on it?

It's me again. The globe does warm, and it does cool... just we have nothing to do with it. Watch the Co2 tax's begin!!

If you're staying up nights worrying about your carbon footprint or how climate change is leaving polar bears adrift at sea, I've got the best advice you've heard in a while - get some sleep.

Al Gore and his global warming flunkies have half the world brainwashed into thinking our ice caps are melting, our seas are on the verge of boiling, and that everywhere from Miami to Juneau, Alaska is about to be ravaged by tropical diseases from malaria to Dengue Fever. Well, I've studied the science and I've got an "inconvenient truth" for Gore and company - the only hot air that's threatening the planet is coming out of their mouths.

Global warming has benefited from one of the greatest public relations and marketing efforts in recent history. You'll hear plenty from environmentalists about carbon emissions, clean energy, and the disappearing arctic, but here's what you will NEVER hear them admit:

Scientists have reaped MILLIONS from their global warming "research." They've turned supporting global warming - despite what the science really says - into a cash cow!

In fact, these same scientists were trying to convince us the world was cooling just a few decades ago, when that's where the grant money was. There's plenty of bad science and good marketing surrounding the global warming debate. Many Americans are going along with this blindly because they find some comfort from the slick promises of politicians. Trillions of tax payer dollars in the hands of government for their private jets, big mansions/vacation homes, special bonuses/pensions, set for life. They waste and give little back. There are hundreds of papers on the non-problem of "global warming". I've used up all of my time and I have to go right now, but, will add links if I find the time. o_O

Don't believe anything you read and only 1/2 of what you see. Of course, Global warming is real. The last Ice age has gone away, has it not? So, we must have global warming. Do people contribute to global warming? Probably some small amount, after all we ARE Warm and we breath in oxygen and breath out CO2, we must be part of the problem. What is Al Gore going to do about it? Kill a whole lot of people? Invariably that is what Socialists do when they take control of a country. Is that better than destroying their economy and causing millions to starve to death?

Wow, I am scared if this is what our current education system is spewing out. There were no-repeat NO-ice caps or glaciers during much of the time dinosaurs walked the earth. Yet there was plenty of land. Why? Do an experiment. Fill a glass with ice water. Mark the top of the water. Let all the ice melt. The top of the water will be....in the same spot!

Since humans were in essence not around, who "caused" all the warm-ups after every ice age? Hmmm? Learn to think, sheeple!

Sorry...invented by Al Gore..right after the internet. The earth goes through cycles and has since it's formation..can you say ice age. If all the ice on earth melted today sea levels would only rise a foot. I already know that you think of yourself as smarter than me and don't like how I think on other matters...so just give me your standard thumbs down and we'll move on to the next question.

Back around 1000 to 1300 we had global warming. the central regions of the globe suffered floods and drought. The northern regions had huge economic advantages.

The reason then is the same as today! Too many SUVs on the highway and incandescent light bulbs!

Al Gore is an idiot, and only an idiot would listen to Al Gore.

We don't want to believe in Global warming because it would mean industry would have to enact expensive measures to lower pollution. Cost benefit to individual companies does not favor the need for change. Having a contingency plan would be a tacit admission that Global warming is a reality as well as an ever present danger to the welfare of the nation.

Glomal warming is occuring.

It is going to cause a rise in sea levels and habitats are going to shift.

The reason why we are not acting up it is ignorance. Some people thing that global warming is bullshit.

Theres many things we could do like decrease our greenhouse gas emissions.

These come from human activities such as petroleum drilling, coal mining, auto-mobile emissions and even barbequing.

Riding the city bus and car-pooling can help

because its half and half half believe that its not a big deal and everyone else is going crazy over it and if its cold in Texas like Tired Trucker said than obviously its not a big deal + theres over a foot of show here in Colorado

look at the ice age it suddenly got really cold while this is the hot age its all a big cycle

you might look up the definition of fact. not only has it not gotten any warmer in the last 8 years they now say that this cooling trend will last for 30 years. if you look up what they thought was happening in the 1970's they wanted to cover the ice caps in soot. make them black so they would melt because their "facts" were that we were going into an ice age and we were going to freeze to death.

i personally think that The Day After Tomorrow is a good estimate of what might happen to the world if we dont stop gobal warming.

its a very serious situation, and if we dont act now, we could end up in a new ice age.

i think that the world goes in a cycle. it has an ice age, then a certain amount of time later, the earth will overheat, and start over at an ice age. but thats just me, and im no professional.

i think that if everyone goes green, then we could slow down the cycle. but the cost of "going green" products is a problem. in the economic crisis were going through now, we cant afford the products. but when it is all over, and everyone acts on global warming, i think that we cant slow it down, but not put a stop to it. its in nature, and nature cant be stopped.
