It doesn't look that scary, and it's only PG-13 so it probably won't be.

Look at it as a way to get closer..
Honestly, she is probably just as scared as you.. but when you are scared that just means cuddling and being there for each other : )
if it gets too scary, or she looks too scared just offer to go into a different cinema.. I'm sure she will understand, and probably feel the same way and is just too scared to say something.
Don't worry about looking bad in front of her because you don't want to see a movie.. but you should give it a chance.

Well make sure you go to the toilet before hand and don't drink alot during the movie. Also dont hold popcorn...as i found out,if you jump the whole lots goes everywhere!! Just try and enjoy it. Scary movies are meant to scare people. Your girlfriend wont think you are a wimp. My boyf doesnt like scary movies and i dont think any less of him. Its nice to watch a film and be scared together anyway :)

Tone it down on liquids before you go, have something to squeeze on (that isn't her hand), and if you think she's scared, turn to hug her, (that way, you aren't looking at the screen.) If you have to go, you have to go. Say "I'll be right back." and go. And you can look through the doors when you get back to see if it's safe to go back in.
No shame in being afraid, you know. That's the reason they MADE the movie. When my boyfriend and I went to see "I am Legend" and I said I was a little scared, he said he was too, and I was thinking- "That's hot. He isn't one of those 'I am man, hear me roar' macho types." So we held hands the whole time. Wasn't as scary as I thought it would be either.
Good luck!

Tell her that you don't think that Haunting in conneticut movie will be good,(which it really is) and say you'd rather see another movie, that you and her might watch.Try to point out what movie you think will be good and that she might enjoy, too.

what are you asking? i saw it, is was pretty scary, but nothing you shouldn't be able to handle, I am like you, i sucked it up, and it wasn't too bad, and i live in CT too xD.... you'll be fine, if anything close your eyes and pretend your watching it xD and if it really gets bad for you, just be honest and tell her the truth, she will understand.

The way I think about it is how it was created. Rather than letting yourself get lost in the story, think about how they did a certain CGI or how they used camera angles to their advantage.
Get creative!!
Good luck and I hope your date goes well.
