Can I dump/bury cat waste in woods?
I have 2 cats and every week when it is time to change the litter box I feel guilty for using a plastic liner and put the waste (which by itself is totally biodegradable and completely breaks down in few days or weeks) in a bag which will probably stay in the landfills for ever. So I looked around and found a brand of liner which is supposedly biodegradable but I still don't feel right about this because I am sure that it will still take a long time for the waste to break down. So I am wondering if environmentally it is better if I dump the waste in the woods at the end of my street and if it is legally ok to do so(I live in suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota, US)?

in some place you can't dump or leave your pet waste because it can pollute the water ways. feline line pine liter is suppose to be biodegradable and safe to dump out side. yet would you want to walk around in animal waste? i wouldn't. there is all so this litter box that you hook up to your own toilet. it takes care of the urine waste somehow. personal i would flush the solid waste down the toilet where it would get treated. as far as the urine part well cats bury there waste so maybe you could do that.

Animals have been taking craps in the woods for millions of years so it is not going to damage the eco system. The law might have something to say about you disposing the contents of your cat litter box in the woods.
Maybe if you dig a little hole and bury it. It might not be to noticeable to the police, or a nosy neighbor, will not report you to the city sanitation department.

we are in the comparable precise boat. we've an 8 365 days previous woman, spayed, declawed cat. We have been given her from a look after 3 years in the past and ever considering that we had a toddler 2 years in the past, she has systematically peed on each little thing our daughter owns, beginning with all her toddler blankets the day we delivered her homestead from the wellbeing facility. we adore and adore this cat, have tried each little thing below the solar, yet we have confidence that because of the fact she's been declawed, the only way she would be in a position to mark her territory is by ability of peeing. we've finally come to the unsettling attractiveness that the main humane component to do is to place her to sleep. we've found our daughter fidgeting with urine soaked toys and we won't be able to save the cat in the homestead anymore. If we carry her to a look after, she's extra advantageous than probably going to take a seat down in a tiny container for a month, scared out of her recommendations by ability of the sounds, smells and close quarters. no one is going to undertake an 8 365 days previous cat with a peeing subject. the determination to place her down will unavoidably fall on the pinnacle of one of the techs. If somebody does undertake her, we've in fact in simple terms ruined their homestead and that they won't be as forgiving and form to the cat as we've been. i think of that's terrific to dodge that torturous stay for our cat so as that her final memories are a heat, loving homestead, no longer a noisy, chilly, unfamiliar cage.
